    • Clarification

      Amphitrite Technologies having wide range of Custom designed clarifiers to treat the various varying characteristics of raw water, waste water, effluents and other types of feed water.

      Clarifiers are settling tanks built with mechanical mechanism for continuous removal of solids being deposited by sedimentation. A clarifier is generally used to remove solid particulates or suspended solids from liquid for clarification and (or) thickening. Concentrated impurities, discharged from the bottom of the tank are known as sludge, while the particles that float to the surface of the liquid are called scum.

      High Rate Solids Contact Clarifier

      High rate solids contact clarifier combines optimized flocculation, internal and external sludge recirculation, to achieve very high hydraulic load and high efficiency. It is effective for lime softening of Surface water, Wastewater, and precipitating hydroxides of metals from industrial waste water. High rate solids contact clarifiers can be suitable to wide range of flow rates and suspended solids variations in the feed water. High-rate solids contact clarifier requires less Space.

      Clariflocculator

      Amphitrite Technologies offers both center driven and end driven clariflocculators. It is a combination of both flocculation and clarification in a single unit. It consists of concentric circular compartments. The inner compartment is the flocculation chamber and the outer compartment is the clarifier. The clariflocculation allows the removal of organic compounds, suspended particles and heavy metals.

      The Clariflocculation is a chemical and physical water treatment process and it mainly consists in the removal of suspended substances. Its application is in the water treatment of surface water, industrial and municipal wastewater treatment in the municipal and industrial sectors.

      Tube Settlers

      High efficient Tube Settlers are commonly used in Rectangular Clarifiers to increase the settling capacity by reducing the vertical distances a suspended particle must to travel. Tube Settlers use a stack of Parallel tubes, rectangles or flat pieces separated by a few inches and sloping upwards in the direction of flow. Tube Settler Structure creates a large number of narrow parallel flow pathways encouraging uniform laminar flow. Sloped multiple tubular channels combine to form an increased effective settling area and it reduces the particles to settle down faster.

      Tube Settler Capture the fine particles and allowing the larger particles to settle at bottom of the clarifier in a more uniform form. The fine particles then build up into larger particles which slide down the tube channels. Inclined structures may allow the accumulated solids by gravity, but it requires periodic draining and cleaning.

      Tube settlers offer an inexpensive method of upgrading existing water treatment plant clarifiers and sedimentation basins to improve performance.

      Lamella Clarifiers

      A lamella clarifier is designed to remove suspended particulates from the influent water. They are often employed in primary water treatment in place of conventional settling tanks. They are used in industrial water treatment. Unlike conventional clarifiers they use a series of inclined plates. These inclined plates provide a large effective settling area for a small footprint. The inlet stream is stilled upon entry into the clarifier. Solid particles begin to settle on the plates and begin to accumulate in collection hoppers at the bottom of the clarifier unit. The sludge is drawn off at the bottom of these hoppers and the clarified liquid exits the unit at the top by weir.

      Lamella clarifiers can be used in a range of industries including mining and metal finishing, as well as used to treat groundwater, industrial process water and backwash from filters. Lamella clarifiers are ideal for applications where the solid loading is variable and solid sizing is fine and are more common than conventional clarifiers at many industrial sites due to their smaller footprint.

      One specific application is as pre-treatment stage for effluent entering membrane filters. Lamella clarifiers are considered to be one of the best options for pre-treatment ahead of membrane filters. Their all steel design means there is a low chance that part of the inclined plate will chip off and be carried over into membrane, especially when compared to tube settlers which are constructed of plastic. Further lamella clarifiers are able to maintain the required water quality to the membrane without the use of chemicals. This is a most cost effective measure both in purchasing chemicals and limiting damage to the membrane, as membranes do not work well with the large particles contained in flocculants and coagulants.

      Lamella clarifiers are also used in the municipal wastewater treatment processes. The most common wastewater application for lamella clarifiers is as part of the tertiary treatment stage. Lamella clarifiers can be integrated into the treatment process or stand-alone units can be used to increase the flow through existing water treatment plants. One option for integrating lamella clarifiers into existing plants is for conventional or sludge blanket clarifiers to be upgraded by attaching a bundle of inclined plates or tubes before the overflow in the so-called “clear water zone”. This can increase the settling area by two-fold resulting in a decrease in the solids loading in the overflow.

      • Micro Filtration

        Amphitrite Technologies water treatment systems uses hollow-fiber microfiltration or ultrafiltration membrane technology to produce pure water from any water source. The systems remove

      • Ultra Filtration

        Ultrafiltration removes oils, colloidal solids and other soluble pollutants and allows for recycling of industrial waters to a scale (0.01 – 0.1 micron) of separation between microfiltration and Nano filtration. Ultrafiltration membranes have a high efficiency in removal of bacteria and viruses, solids, colloids, many organic biological solids and silt. The flow of filtration takes place from outside to inside of the fibers; the solids are then retained on the outer surface of the membranes. The system is designed in a modular manner to guarantee maximum flexibility and ease of expansion.

        UF works well on waste streams with compositional variability reducing, by up to 98%, the amount of waste to be treated or discharged. Produced waters from the oil and gas industries can be effectively treated to remove oil and recycle the water.

      • Nano Filtration

        Amphitrite Technologies Nano filtration systems are designed for a variety of industrial applications requiring high quality equipment with a fast delivery and competitive price. Nano filtration membranes have been developed that have retention capabilities of between 100 and 1000 molecular weight. Since a molecular weight of 200 equates to a large molecule of about 1 nanometer, these membranes are called Nano filtration membranes. Applied pressure requirement is between 75 and 450 psig, (far less than needed to achieve similar flow with reverse osmosis membranes). Salts with monovalent anions (e.g., Chlorides) are able to pass through the membrane, while salts with polyvalent anions (e.g., Sulfates or Phosphates) are retained.

        Amphitrite Technologies offers the most comprehensive Demineralisation Plant for applications as diverse as simple production of ultrapure water for industrial uses. Demineralisation removes most of the salts in Raw Water. DM Plant having Cation Exchanger, Anion Exchanger and followed by Mixed Bed Exchanger to achieve high purity water for Industrial Process Water. Degasser is placed between Cation & Anion Exchangers to reduce the Load to Anion Exchangers by removing unwanted dissolved gases.

        Cation & Anion Exchangers holds ion-exchange resin of the required type through which water is allowed to pass. The selective ions in the water are exchanged with ions or radicals loosely held by the resin. In this way, the water is passed through several vessels or a mixed bed vessel so that both positive and negative ions are removed and water is demineralised. The Cation & Anion Exchange Resins regenerated with Hydrochloric Acid and Sodium Hydroxide respectively.
